Plot
Hungarian physicist Leo Szilard escapes Europe and reaches the United States, where he teams up with Einstein to convince the government to develop an atomic bomb. General Leslie Groves takes charge of the project, appointing physicist J. Robert Oppenheimer to lead the Los Alamos Laboratory in New Mexico. As World War II nears its end, Szilard begins to question the morality of atomic weapons, prompting intense discussions among policymakers about the bomb's potential use and the implications of unleashing such a destructive force.
