A group of impoverished Hungarian peasants embarks on a journey to northern Germany, lured by the promise of decent wages and the opportunity to bring their families. Despite the backdrop of World War II, they initially enjoy a relatively stable life on the farm. However, witnessing the harsh realities faced by POWs and other marginalized individuals opens their eyes to the grim consequences of war. As the harvest concludes, they decide to return to Hungary, only to be engulfed by the escalating conflict. Directed by the esteemed Zoltan Fabri, this film explores the human cost of fascism and resilience.
