The Fable (2025)

Plot

In the spring of 1989, nestled in the Indian Himalayas, the gentle Dev manages a vast estate filled with orchards and resides in a charming colonial home with his loved ones. Passionate about flight, he crafts large wings to soar above his land each morning. However, disaster strikes when he stumbles upon a charred apple tree, and soon after, more trees meet the same fate. As tensions rise among the workers, suspicions fall on a group of nomads, drawing the attention of a corrupt officer. Despite vigilant guards camping out, a devastating fire ultimately ravages the mountainside, forcing Dev to confront harsh truths about himself and his family.
