Surviving with Wolves (2007)
Plot
In 1942, Misha, a young Jewish girl, along with her Russian mother Gerusha and German father Reuven, takes refuge in a secluded house in Ardennes, Belgium, evading the Nazis. Misha shares a deep bond with her mother, who advises her that if someone declares themselves "the love of my life," she should follow without hesitation. After her parents are captured, Misha is placed with a German family where she faces mistreatment from the cruel matriarch. However, she finds solace in the company of Ernest and his unstable wife Marthe, who bring food to her foster family. Ernest gifts Misha a compass and informs her that her parents have been sent east for forced labor. When the couple is arrested for harboring Misha, she escapes into the woods, resolutely searching for her parents.
