Plot

Georges Iscovescu, a Romanian-French gigolo, dreams of reaching the United States but is halted in Mexico by immigration quotas. To circumvent the rules, he plans to marry an American woman, only to abandon her afterward and reunite with his old flame, Anita. However, when he unexpectedly falls for the charming teacher Emmy Brown, his feelings complicate his intentions. As romance blossoms, the intertwining emotions of love and jealousy threaten to unravel his carefully laid plans, challenging his quest for freedom and true connection.
