Plot
In "Hoosiers," Norman Dale, a down-and-out college basketball coach, finds a shot at redemption when he takes the reins of a struggling high school team in a small Indiana community. Faced with skepticism from locals, his challenges intensify when a teacher convinces top player Jimmy Chitwood to prioritize academics over basketball. As Dale navigates the difficulties of building a cohesive team, he also battles criticism for his fiery demeanor and his decision to hire Shooter, a former player grappling with alcoholism, as his assistant coach. Together, they strive for success against all odds.
