Plot

Amid a relentless summer drought, water supply restrictions sweep through the city, putting pressure on Shunsaku Iwakiri, an employee of the water department. Tasked with collecting overdue bills or enforcing water shutoffs, he grapples with his own separation from family while facing the harsh realities of struggling households. Shunsaku's life takes a poignant turn when he encounters two neglected young sisters during a water shutoff. Feeling a deep connection, he steps in to support them, igniting a journey of compassion and self-discovery against the backdrop of a parched city.
