Plot

Cowboy Ross McEwen rides into town seeking a $2,000 loan from the local banker. To secure it, he humorously offers his six-shooter as collateral, leading to an I.O.U. signed "Jefferson Davis." After leaving town, he boards a train but is bitten by a rattlesnake. Fortunately, nurse Miss Hollister is there to treat him. As a posse scours the train for him, McEwen remains undetected, but a mysterious Mexican has taken an interest in the cowboy. Tensions rise as various parties vie for the reward for the capture of the elusive robber.
