Plot

Le Dabe, once the reigning king of counterfeiters, now enjoys a luxurious retirement in the tropics, managing his stables and horses. When approached by associates from Paris for a new counterfeit job, he initially declines. However, the lure of recreating the Dutch florin, which he previously counterfeited just before its retirement by Queen Wilhelmina, entices him to accept. Upon arriving in Paris, he quickly realizes that not all members of the gang can be trusted, setting the stage for tension and betrayal.
