Plot

Grieving the loss of his wife, Donnelly finds himself on a train with a troubled youth known simply as the 'Kid.' Tensions rise as the Kid's erratic behavior and harsh language escalate, transforming the journey into a perilous ordeal for both Donnelly and the unsuspecting passengers. The atmosphere grows increasingly charged, revealing the darkness that pain can unleash. This harrowing short film, which won an Academy Award for Best Live Action Short Film in 2005, explores the raw edges of grief and the unpredictability of human emotions.
