Plot
Commander Jack Braden and Navy pilot 'Frisky' Pierce vie for fame from a historic South Pole expedition, as well as the affections of Frisky's stunning wife, Helen. When Braden's dirigible mission ends in failure, Frisky opts for a plane journey, which ultimately leads to a crash that leaves his team stranded. Faced with the dilemma of launching a perilous rescue mission in his dirigible or staying behind with Helen, Braden must confront both his ambitions and the stakes of love, forcing him to weigh personal desires against the lives of others.
