Plot

In 1993, Canadian Lieutenant General Roméo Dallaire leads the United Nations Assistance Mission for Rwanda (UNAMIR) amid escalating tensions. Tasked with maintaining a fragile ceasefire, Dallaire faces an uphill battle with a poorly funded and bureaucratic mission, comprising diverse military units from around the globe, each with conflicting agendas. As the Rwandan Genocide unfolds, he struggles against overwhelming odds and the apathy of his superiors, determined to prevent the impending chaos and save lives, even as the world turns a blind eye to the horrors taking place.
