Jean-Hugues Anglade
Jean-Hugues Anglade is a prominent French actor, director, and screenwriter, celebrated for his performances in notable films such as *Killing Zoe* as Eric, *Betty Blue* portraying Zorg, and *Nikita* where he played Marco, Nikita's boyfriend.
Born in Thouars, Deux-Sèvres, in the Poitou-Charentes region of France, Anglade hails from a family with a medical background; his father was a veterinary surgeon and his mother worked as a social worker. He honed his craft at the Conservatoire national supérieur d'art dramatique in Paris, graduating in 1980 under the tutelage of Antoine Vitez. This training led to his television debut that same year in a televised adaptation of Honoré de Balzac's *La Peau de chagrin* directed by Michel Favart.
Throughout his career, Anglade has been involved in numerous films, television series, and stage productions. In 2022, he took on a significant role in the TF1 series *Visions*, which debuted at Canneseries and features co-stars Louane Emera, Soufiane Guerrab, and Julien Boisselier.
On August 21, 2015, Anglade was aboard a Paris-bound Thalys train during an attempted attack. He played a heroic role as he and fellow passengers subdued the assailant, sustaining a hand injury while breaking the glass for the emergency alarm.
