Plot
In "Nelly and Monsieur Arnaud," Nelly decides to leave her idle, jobless spouse in search of a new beginning. She accepts a job from Mr. Arnaud, a retired judge, who is four decades her senior, and offers to help pay off her debts. As Nelly assists him in writing his memoirs, a deep bond forms between them. However, complications arise when Arnaud's feelings turn possessive upon learning that Nelly has started dating his attractive young publisher, stirring jealousy and tension in their friendship.
