Emmanuelle Béart
Emmanuelle Béart, born on August 14, 1963, is a celebrated French actress whose extensive career spans more than 60 film and television productions since her debut in 1972. She has received eight nominations for the prestigious César Award, winning the César for Best Supporting Actress in 1987 for her remarkable performance in *Manon des Sources*. Hailing from Gassin on the French Riviera, Béart was born to Geneviève Galéa, a model of mixed Croatian, Greek, and Maltese heritage, and Guy Béart, a renowned singer and poet with Sephardic Jewish roots. She has a half-sister, Ève, along with six half-siblings from her mother's subsequent relationships.
During her teenage years, Béart spent summers in Montreal with a family friend, William Sofin, where she completed her baccalauréat at Collège International Marie de France. After returning to France for drama studies, she landed her first significant role shortly after, gaining fame for her portrayal in *Manon des Sources*. In addition to her César Award, she garnered further acclaim with a Silver St. George award for Best Actress at the 19th Moscow International Film Festival for *A French Woman*.
