Plot

Czech refugee Krystyna arrives in New York, driven by her admiration for actress Anna, who also fled her homeland. Upon reaching the bustling city, Anna discovers that fame doesn't guarantee success; she faces numerous humiliating auditions in hopes of reigniting her career.
