Renée Coleman, born on January 8, 1962, is a notable Canadian actress whose career spans numerous television shows and films. She gained widespread recognition for her portrayal of Alia, the formidable "evil leaper," in the acclaimed NBC series Quantum Leap. Her film credits include a memorable performance as Alice Gaspers, a left-fielder and substitute catcher, in the beloved 1992 film A League of Their Own, alongside a cast of notable actors. Additionally, she showcased her talents in the comedy Who's Harry Crumb? as the character Jennifer Downing.

Throughout the mid-1990s, Coleman continued to diversify her filmography with roles in various international projects, including the action film Pentathlon, the Mexican feature El Jardín del Edén (1994), the Polish production Gracze (1995), and the Swiss film Waiting for Michelangelo (1995).
