Plot
Set in 1893 Australia, Molly Johnson, heavily pregnant and left to fend for herself and her children, battles the unforgiving wilderness after her husband departs for droving. Her life takes an unexpected turn when she discovers Yakada, an injured Aboriginal fugitive, shackled on her land. As they forge an unlikely connection, secrets about Molly’s past come to light. Meanwhile, the new town lawman, Nate Clintoff, grows suspicious of Molly’s situation, prompting him to send his constable to dig deeper into her husband’s mysterious disappearance.
