Plot

Set in 1984, Frank, an adventurous English teenager, escapes the confines of high school in search of a vibrant gay life in Amsterdam. He discovers the "House of Boys," a bar and brothel overseen by a no-nonsense Madame who understands the desires of her clients. As Frank transitions from bartender to performer, he develops a romantic bond with Jake, a fellow housemate. However, the emergence of a devastating illness known as 'the gay cancer' looms over their close-knit community. Despite the challenges, Frank's resilience and a supportive doctor help him navigate this turbulent period.
