Absence (2013)

Plot

Enrique struggles with the loss of his father, Luis, whose untimely death leaves him trapped in solitude by the gravesite. Desperate to connect with other children, he finds himself retreating to the comfort of his dad's tomb. Everything changes when Mary and her doll, Gold, enter his life unexpectedly. She embodies both truth and illusion, sparking a renewed connection between Enrique and his father. As hope blossoms, their communication reignites, but the fragile bond they share cannot endure indefinitely, reminding them that the door to the past is not meant to remain open forever.
