Loan Shark (1952)

Plot

A ruthless loan shark operation targets vulnerable factory workers, inflicting violence and fear on their lives. After a series of brutal attacks at a tire factory, a determined union leader and the factory owner seek the help of ex-con Joe Gargan to penetrate the gang. Initially reluctant, Joe’s resolve strengthens when his brother-in-law is killed by a brutal enforcer. As he infiltrates the criminal organization, Joe must maintain his cover at the cost of his relationships, leading to estrangement from his sister and girlfriend, all while risking his life to bring down the loan sharks.
