In "Guys and Dolls," gambler Nathan Detroit struggles to find a venue for his high-stakes craps game. To secure $1,000 needed to rent a garage, Nathan wagers Sky Masterson that he can't win a date with the straight-laced Sarah Brown. Sky, undeterred, manages to convince Sarah to go out with him by promising to help her mission attract more visitors. Meanwhile, Nathan's long-suffering fiancée, Adelaide, is pushing him to settle down and marry her, adding to the complications of his gambling lifestyle.
