Atsushi Sakahara, a survivor of the 1995 Tokyo subway sarin gas attack, embarks on a journey alongside Hiroshi Araki, a high-ranking member of Aleph, the cult responsible for the tragedy. As they revisit their hometowns and their shared university, their discussions reveal the complex motivations behind Araki's involvement with the notorious Aum Shinrikyo, led by Shoko Asahara. Through their evolving relationship, the film explores themes of friendship, redemption, and the deeply personal paths individuals take in grappling with their pasts and choices.
