Plot

Judge James K. Hardy receives thrilling news from attorney George Irving: he may inherit a staggering $2 million. To secure the fortune, he and his family must travel to Detroit. Complicating matters is Philip 'Phil' Westcott, the deceased relative's adopted son, who is being ousted from his luxurious mansion. Determined not to go quietly, the charming playboy launches a campaign to win over Polly Benedict and especially Andrew 'Andy' Hardy, Judge Hardy's son. Tensions rise as loyalties are tested and familial bonds are challenged in this engaging tale of competition and inheritance.
