Plot
Joseph Svenden, a 47-year-old farmer and teacher, grapples with life’s crossroads while caring for his ailing mother. Teaching at a small school alongside Rosealee, the widow of his best friend and his secret love, Joseph faces the upheaval of losing his job when the district expands. Complicating matters, he becomes entangled with 17-year-old Catherine, a new student whose allure awakens him to passions long suppressed. As his world shifts dramatically, Joseph must confront his stagnant existence and make pivotal choices about his future and personal happiness.
