Plot

In Akira Kurosawa's celebrated historical drama, "Kagemusha," a lowly thief is chosen to act as a double for the aging warlord Shingen, safeguarding him from rival clans. Following Shingen’s unexpected death, his generals hesitantly allow the thief to assume the mantle of leadership. As he embraces his new identity, he starts to relish the privileges and responsibilities of being Shingen. However, his resolve is put to the ultimate test when he must command his army against a formidable enemy warlord, challenging his loyalty and ability to fill the shoes of a legendary leader.
