Plot

Sixty-five-year-old John Hodges faces mandatory retirement from Acme Printing, but he isn't ready to hang up his hat just yet. To reclaim a piece of his former life, he masquerades as the company's president during an inspection of his old workplace. Meanwhile, the real president, McKinley, is overwhelmed with anxiety, despite the efforts of his stunning secretary, Harriet, to soothe him. As the day unfolds, complications arise when McKinley's wife, Lucille, develops a crush on Hodges, leading to a series of humorous and unexpected situations.
