Plot

Karl and Stephan, two brothers with contrasting work ethics, head to Munich to pursue medical degrees. While diligent Karl excels academically, lazy Stephan barely scrapes by. A tragic incident resulting from Stephan's negligence leads to Anna's death, and Karl unjustly serves three years in prison for it. Upon his release, he discovers Stephan has died, and a critically ill child requires surgery. Karl’s remarkable skills shine through in the operation, attracting attention. His mother reveals that he is actually Stephan Brenner, which complicates his feelings for Lottie, now his sister, steering his destiny towards healing rather than love.
