Plot
Two young women escape their troubled pasts to seek a fresh start in Budapest. Gyöngyi, the daughter of an aristocrat, is cast out after her father learns of her unexpected pregnancy. Struggling to survive, she plays the violin for tips at a restaurant. Meanwhile, Vica, an orphan fleeing her abusive stepfather, finds work at a construction site. Their paths cross on the bustling streets, leading to a powerful bond as they decide to live together, supporting each other in their quest for independence and a better life.
