Plot
In the third installment of François Truffaut's series centered on Antoine Doinel, the narrative picks up as Antoine completes his military service. With the help of his girlfriend Christine's father, he secures a job as a security guard, only to be fired shortly after. Soon, he becomes an assistant to a private investigator, where he becomes infatuated with the alluring wife of his boss, Fabienne. Caught in a dilemma, Antoine must decide whether to pursue the enticing older woman or remain devoted to Christine.
