Shadow Game (2021)

Plot

Shadow Game offers a raw, immersive look at the harsh realities of European asylum policies. With borders tightly secured, seeking refuge has turned into a perilous challenge for young migrants. As they traverse treacherous snowy terrains, they encounter hostile border authorities at every turn. Their arduous journey spans multiple countries, including Greece, North Macedonia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Italy, France, and the Netherlands. Filmed over three years, the project incorporates footage captured by the teenagers themselves, adding a personal touch to their harrowing experiences in pursuit of safety and hope.
