Plot

Chieko, played by Momoe Yamaguchi, grows up as the cherished only child of a dry goods store couple. Her world shifts when, as a middle schooler, she discovers that her parents are not her biological ones. They reveal that she was abducted as a baby while napping beneath a cherry tree in Gion, Kyoto, a story Chieko struggles to accept.
