Plot

Amid the Texas War of Independence in 1836, Jim Bowie, an American frontiersman and Mexican citizen, warns the rebellious Texians against impulsive action. His connections, including a marriage to the Mexican vice-governor's daughter and a friendship with General Santa Anna, complicate his position. Santa Anna, having ruled Mexico with increasing tyranny for 22 years, dismisses Texas's desire for autonomy. Ultimately, the Texians, despite differing views on strategy, convince Bowie to lead their final stand at the Alamo against Santa Anna's overwhelming forces. Tension mounts as they prepare to confront the powerful general.
