Plot

After the Cold War's end leads to his dismissal, seasoned British agent Harry Palmer finds himself in a precarious situation. Russian mastermind Alex recruits him in St. Petersburg, revealing that a lethal biochemical weapon known as the Red Death has been stolen, jeopardizing his vision for Russia's future. Offering a lucrative reward, Alex enlists Harry to recover the weapon, which is rumored to be en route to Beijing by train.
