The Wandering Image (1920)

Plot

Irmgard finds herself pregnant by Georg, a proponent of free love, and chooses to feign a marriage for their child's sake. To carry out her plan, she intends to wed Georg's twin brother, John, who will pose as Georg during the ceremony. However, after the wedding, Georg mysteriously vanishes and is presumed dead. Years later, Irmgard seeks to break free from John, who has developed an unhealthy obsession with her. In the mountains, she encounters a stranger who offers her the protection she desperately needs.
