Karlskov, a prosperous owner of a significant electronics factory, enjoys a comfortable life with his wife and five children on Strandvejen, just north of Copenhagen. However, as the Nazis invade Denmark in April 1940, his world is turned upside down. Facing pressure to keep his factory operational, he makes the difficult decision to cater to the German market. This choice leads him into a morally ambiguous partnership with the occupiers, straining family ties and forcing him to confront the heavy toll of his actions on his loved ones.
