Plot
Nigel Slater dreams of becoming a great chef, but his only experience comes from his mother's simple toast. Following her death, tension rises between him and his father, particularly after his dad marries a woman who charms him with her exquisite lemon meringue pie. Determined to pursue his passion, Nigel enrolls in culinary school and takes a job at a local pub. As he hones his skills, he finds himself vying with his stepmother for both culinary recognition and his father's affection, leading to a deliciously intense family rivalry.
