Plot
As 1809 draws to a close, Natasha experiences the excitement of her first ball, capturing the heart of Andrei, who plans to propose. However, her father insists on postponing their engagement. While Andrei is away, Natasha becomes infatuated with the charming Anatol Kuragin, momentarily forgetting her true feelings. Just before eloping, she has a change of heart and backs out. Andrei, learning of her wavering commitment, ends their betrothal. In a surprising twist, Pierre steps in to comfort Natasha, declaring his love for her, complicating her already tumultuous emotions.
