Plot
Set in early 20th-century Paris, Cesar Charron runs a theater on Rue Morgue, showcasing the play "Murders in the Rue Morgue" alongside his wife, Madeleine, who suffers from terrifying nightmares. As a series of acid-related murders plague those linked to Cesar, Inspector Vidocq zeroes in on Rene Marot, Cesar's former partner. Complicating matters, Marot is tied to a dark past, having killed Madeleine's mother years earlier before taking his own life.
