Plot
Dr. Hohner, a physician at the Vienna Royal Theatre, succumbs to jealousy and kills his mistress, a celebrated soprano. A decade later, he encounters a new young singer whose voice echoes that of his deceased love, reigniting his dangerous obsession. Determined to possess this fresh talent exclusively, Hohner becomes increasingly unhinged, willing to go to extreme lengths to ensure she never sings for anyone else. As his madness deepens, the line between love and control blurs, leading to a harrowing confrontation with the shadows of his past.
