One Wild Week (1921)

Plot

On her 18th birthday, Pauline Hathaway learns from the family lawyer that she will receive a $500,000 inheritance if she maintains acceptable behavior; otherwise, the money will go to her aunt. Eager to impress, she buys new clothes and heads to visit her mother’s friend, Mrs. Brewster. However, she falls victim to a pickpocket and ends up sentenced to 30 days in a reformatory. During the court proceedings, Bruce Reynolds, an amateur detective and Mrs. Brewster's nephew, witnesses the situation and believes in her innocence.
