Plot

During April 1942, American Army nurses find themselves imprisoned by Japanese forces in a Bataan POW camp. Among them, Lt. Margaret Ann Jessup, the chief nurse, endures the harrowing three-year ordeal. As the years pass, she rises through the ranks to become a colonel. Ultimately, Jessup bravely shares her experiences, providing vital testimony against the Japanese in front of a U.S. Congressional subcommittee, shedding light on the resilience and courage of those who endured unimaginable hardships during wartime.
