Plot
Gum, an eccentric explorer, and his warm-hearted niece take in three orphans—Pauline, Petrova, and Posy—raising them as sisters in 1930s London. When Gum mysteriously disappears during one of his expeditions, the girls are left to navigate life on their own. Each sister pursues her unique aspirations: Pauline aims for the stage, Petrova dreams of flying, and Posy dedicates herself to ballet.
