Mary Stockley

Mary Stockley is an accomplished British actress renowned for her work across stage, television, and film. A former member of the National Youth Music Theatre, she pursued her passion for performance by earning a degree in drama.

Stockley made her television debut in 2001 with the TV film *Being Dom Joly*, and her breakout role came shortly after when she portrayed Kate Matherson in thirty episodes of *Family Affairs* on Five. Her impressive television credits include notable roles such as Josie Turner in *The Body in the Library- Agatha Christie's Marple* (2004), Gina Way in *Jericho* (2005), Edie Covington in *The Inspector Lynley Mysteries* (2006), and Mrs. Clay in *Persuasion* (2007). She also appeared in *Britz* (2007), *Ballet Shoes* (2007), and *Mrs. McGinty's Dead- Agatha Christie's Poirot* (2008).

In film, Stockley has portrayed various characters, including Ruth Ellis in *Pierrepoint* (2005), Ruth in *V for Vendetta* (2006), and Mrs. Fisher in *The Woman in Black* (2012). Additionally, she lent her voice to characters in the popular video game *Star Wars: The Old Republic*.

Her theatrical achievements are equally impressive, featuring performances in *Oliver!*, *Merrily We Roll Along* (2000) at the Donmar Warehouse, and *Anything Goes* (2002) and *Love's Labour's Lost* (2003) at the Royal National Theatre. In 2008, she starred as Marigold in *The Common Pursuit* at the Menier Chocolate Factory and later played Judy in the National Theatre's acclaimed production of *The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time*.
