Plot

Monte Hale, an aspiring actor, seeks a break in the world of western films when he encounters siblings Danny McCoy and Gloria. Danny dreams of featuring his horse, "Pardner," on screen. A chance performance by Monte, accompanied by Pardner's impressive tricks, catches the eye of a casting director, landing Monte a singing-cowboy role. However, jealousy from established star Rod Mason leads to a disastrous explosion that frightens Pardner, causing chaos during filming and jeopardizing Monte's newfound opportunity.
