Plot
Dr. Kildare finds himself drawn to Janet Haley, a destitute widow formerly married to a bank robber, who is desperately searching for her missing child. Their paths intertwine when Janet assists Kildare in tending to gangster Hanlon, injured in a tavern confrontation. As Kildare’s feelings deepen, he enlists Hanlon’s aid to locate Janet’s baby. However, the gangster’s brutal methods lead to unforeseen complications, forcing Kildare to navigate a dangerous moral landscape while trying to protect Janet and her child.
