Steve Pendleton (September 16, 1908 – October 3, 1984) was a prominent American actor known for his extensive work in film and television, frequently portraying law enforcement figures.

Between 1952 and 1957, Pendleton appeared in various roles across eight episodes of *The Roy Rogers Show*. In 1955, he took on the character Baumer in the episode "Gold of Haunted Mountain" from the CBS series *Brave Eagle*. He also played Captain Kenneth McNabb in "The Fight for Texas" on *Buffalo Bill, Jr.*, a Western series that same year. His versatility continued in 1956 when he featured as Bill Mathison in the military drama *Navy Log*, and in 1957, he graced two episodes of *The Life of Riley*, starring William Bendix.

Pendleton's notable roles included Marshal Purvis in "Star Witness" of *Casey Jones* (1958) and Sheriff Anderson in "The Louisiana Dude" on *Yancy Derringer* (1959). He was featured in twelve episodes of the ABC/Desilu series *The Life and Legend of Wyatt Earp* between 1956 and 1961, portraying a U.S. Army mayor and multiple characters.

In the 1960s, Pendleton continued his acting journey with roles in *Maverick* and *Lawman*. He made a memorable appearance as Mr. Hutchins in *The Andy Griffith Show* in 1967 and later played Mr. Bennett in the sitcom *Julia* from 1968 to 1970. Pendleton's final role was in a 1976 episode of *Cannon*. He passed away at the age of 76 in Pasadena, California.
