Plot

Hank Wilson drives for a struggling transportation company and is smitten with Doris Lacy, a waitress at their truck-stop. When a series of accidents occur nearby, the company hires a private detective, who is soon found murdered, leading to Hank's arrest as the prime suspect. An insurance policy intervenes, releasing him back to work with a task: uncover the truth behind the mishaps. His investigation uncovers a web of deceit tied to Doris's uncle, a part-owner of the company, placing Hank in the crosshairs of danger and intrigue.
