Plot
Francis Ashby, a distinguished Oxford scholar, seeks solitude in the Alps but finds himself captivated by the dynamic duo of American Caroline and her spirited adopted daughter Elinor. Their enchanting holiday companionship leaves a lasting impression, especially on Elinor, who feels a growing connection with him. However, Francis is surprised when the pair unexpectedly visits him at Oxford, where college rules prohibit women from entering the grounds or his rooms. Navigating the strict expectations of the esteemed Fellows proves challenging, especially with the innocent bonds formed during their alpine adventure.
