Plot

At Queen Mary’s College in London, Ben Butley, a once-respected T.S. Eliot scholar, grapples with personal turmoil as his life spirals out of control. As he confronts the impending departures of his wife and protégé Joey, who is navigating his own sexuality, Butley resorts to sharp humor, profanity, and excessive drinking to cope. Isolated and struggling, he battles the chaos around him while desperately clinging to remnants of his former self. The film paints a poignant portrait of a man at odds with both his career and his relationships.
